About This Program

The Wingmate Program is a mentor–mentee initiative built on consistency, trust, and showing up. After signing up, youth will be paired with a mentor based on shared interests and availability. A mentor is someone who understands the realities of growing up in Thunder Bay and is committed to walking alongside them. At its core, the goal of Wingmate is to establish a trusted adult relationship, where mentees feel supported, can seek advice, and ask questions.
